If you have children… you need to attend this wonderful event!! I will be photographing children and families for charity (5×7 per family - $10) to have all proceeds go to the Carstairs Splash Park. We did a good job last year, and plan to have another great event this year! Here is the information below:

Our second annual Fall shindig is offiically a go! Tickets on-sale Saturday 10a (cash only) through Cater Tot Consignment in Airdrie (403-912-2700) or Starbright for Kids in Coventry Hills, Calgary (403-226-4004)…our amazing event sponsors!

The Event:
 
Fri, Oct 9 from 10:30a-2:30p at the Calgary Corn Maze www.calgarycornmaze.com. Tickets are $10 each, and include admission, a hot dog & drink lunch, and a small pumpkin for the kids. All proceeds will support the Carstairs Splash Park building fund. Only $9,500 to go!
 
The Corn Maze has tonnes for the kids to do and in addition to all the great stuff they have,The Urban Treehouse is bringing their bounce house, kids can partake in a pumpkin hunt that we’ve put together and for the Moms and Dads, the wonderful team at Starbucks Big Hill Springs Airdrie are donating coffee to add some kick to our day.

I just got wonderful amazing news that we have been voted Airdrie’s Photographer of the Year from their “Best of the Best Contest”! What an incredible honour this is. With Airdrie reaching almost 40,000 that is alot of support! It definately makes our year this year to be both Best Photographer for Airdrie and Calgary Child’s Family Photographer for Calgary…. you all put us on cloud nine, and our hearts want to scream thank you to everyone who voted!!  Your support means the world to us and we are so proud to be in this community and city!

We are excited to continue to provide more awesomeness to you this coming year.

There is always a first! I had a blast with this shoot when a sweet friend asked me to assist her to take one thing off her “bucket list”… and this was one of them! I don’t know who had more fun - me or her! It is pretty neat working with a different subject/style a few times during my routine… keeps me fresh and creative. Oh! And just to mention, we have released a new set of dates for Project Blush at www.projectblush.ca and a pin-up style in the studio is one of them!!

What does that mean? Well, between working on the business and growing with our awesome associates - I will be working on developing my work artistically with children. Aside from all of us at the studio putting alot of energy with the wedding portfolio that will be released shortly, my first love of newborn and babies will be a priority in the new year. I will be doing casting calls through the new year for newborns, babies and (later) children to work with ideas I have hoarded over the years. My “still” favorite photographer is Anne Geddes, so you will be seeing her as my inspiration with the simple baby imagery. I am looking for newborns and babies for January, February and March. If you are due, please drop me a line for more information about it.

We are wrapping up our 2009 wedding season shortly and looking forward to the new year. Jaime, Laura, Amy & myself had a blast with all of you - thanks for the inspiration!
